PURPOSE AND BENEFITS
Phosphate and Silicate enter the aquarium through water changes and over time can build up to detrimental levels. High levels of phosphate and silicate often result in cloudy aquarium conditions and unwanted algae blooms. Use PhosRid to control these conditions.  This product is a high capacity filtering agent that quickly adsorbs high levels of phosphate and silicate and permanently removes them from the water.  The result is a healthy environment for fish, corals, and plants.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
RINSE BEFORE USING. Use a phosphate test kit to determine level of phosphate in the water. Place PhosRid Phosphate Remover where water flow is maximized such as in a filter (box, canister, corner,  or wet/dry).  Place PhosRid in a fine mesh filter bag to isolate from other media.  Use one-fourth cup (2 oz) of the Remover per 25 gallons.  Replace PhosRid when the phosphate and silicate levels begin to increase. Phosphate and silicate concentrations should start to fall rapidly and level off at less than 0.02 ppm.  For pH sensitive organisms such as soft corals (example: leather corals) ensure proper pH before use, and adjust pH every 12 hours (necessary when using any phosphate remover) to maintain proper pH for these organisms. Caution:  May generate heat on first contact with water.
